Water and Shirts!

Water

Everyone, we have some crazy exciting news (to us, at least)! Lincoln has been working his buttocks off digging a huge hole for a water tank (see above) and then trying to get a solar pump to make water flow into irrigation for the gardens. And after months of effort, he's finally made it work! I talked to him on the phone last night and he told me he was literally hooting and running around and jumping for joy (chased by mosquitos and his loyal dog, Petey) at the sight of water dripping into plants.

It means bigger garden space! And hours a day back for Lincoln to work on other things! And...vegetables in a desert! Who would have thought? We're all pretty stoked!

Shirts

We also now have nonprofit shirts (and sweatshirts and tanktops) to buy, part of which will be a donation to SLIC! The logo was made by our very own, Elliot Horvath, who is only 13 years old! The back text is a riff of the amazing book that inspired our nonprofit: The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know is Possible.
